Pleasance Ingle is a visual artist currently living and working in the Blue Mountains of NSW. She has been teaching and exhibiting in group shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, the Blue Mountains and the Central West since the 80’s. To date she has had 15 solo shows, the most recent in June 2025 at Ochredfern in Alexandria, Sydney.

Her work is figurative and explores humankind’s interaction with the world, as seen through myth, figures, animals, landscape and the built environment. Sometimes with humour, sometimes with dread, or both and frequently manipulated to that end. 

Work is generated from visits to the outback, places abroad and from the immediate world around.
